Thoughts Before Christmas

This year has really passed quickly. Years do past quickly the older we get. We have been blessed with good health. We have had enough income to be able to have the things we needed. We are thankful for that. We were fortunate enough to have all our children together the last part of the year, even if it was for just a few hours. My daughter, Judy of A Meek Perspective blog, had planned a weekend getaway for all our children and all the grandchildren who could or wanted to come. But grandchildren's weddings come first. All our children were able to be together for our oldest grandchild's wedding in south Mississippi. The day was beautiful. Pictures were taken outside and the reception was outside. It was just a beautiful autumn day! A perfect day for a wedding.

Even though it was a quick trip for us, we enjoyed being with our oldest son and his wife the night before at our daughter's house in Alabama. We had been with our second son who lives in Scotland for several days prior to the wedding. Our youngest son and his wife were busy with the wedding, but that was alright. They only have one daughter to get married. Their oldest son will be getting married the end of the year in Kansas. We are not going to that one. Wish we could, but the distance and the time of the year prohibits it.

We had a chance to get some family pictures while we were waiting for the wedding to begin. Some of you who read this blog who have not seen our family in some time can refresh your memories on what they look like or learn what they look like now.

And pic of us all together, except for the daughters-in-law and son-in-law who was sick and did not get to go that day.
It was a good day, tiring, but good. Memories make our lives happy.
