Iris Quilt

This quilt was designed by Derek Lockwood. I like to make his quilts. They are usually with a black background. I do not see black to sew or quilt on it very well, so I usually make my backgrounds white. I really enjoyed making this quilt. I guess I enjoyed it especially because the Iris is Tennessee's state flower and our town has an Iris Festival around Mother's Day each May. We have lots of irises planted in our flower beds. They are coming up prolifically this spring.
