Last Saturday our first grandchild, Ashley Nicole Galloway married Charles Edward Smith in Greenwood, MS. A grandparent loves all their grandchildren. But there is that certain bond between a grandmother and her first grandchild. I don't love Ashley anymore than our other grandchildren, but there is just that something there that I can't explain.
Ashley had been in 12 weddings, so she honored all these brides from the past and had them as her honorary bridesmaids. They all walked down the aisle two by two and sat on the front pew at the church building. I think this was especially an honor to all these girls.
