Spring For Susannah

This book, Spring For Susannah by Catherine Richmond, was supplied to me by Thomas Nelson Publishing Company to read and reveiw. This was the best book I have read in a long time. This is Ms Richmond's first published book. If she writes more books like this one she will have a great writing career.

In this book Susannah's parents have died and she has no one else related to her in her hometown of Detriot. She is then married by proxy to her minister's brother who is homesteading in Dakota Territory. So this young girl goes by herself to the Dakota Territory to meet this man she has married but never seen before. From the start the plot is very interesting. And it just gets better as the book goes on. Ms Richmond tells of the harsh winter in the Dakota Terriotory. She tells of grass fires. She tells of having few if any neighbors. She tells of having to buy 6 months of supplies at one time. I don't want to give the story away. I will encourage everyone to read this book, especially if you like historical fictions.
